Wow, where to begin? A factory setting in a business designed only to sell eye operations. You will see no "bedside manner" and your time with an eye surgeon will be limited to a few minutes - a few minutes where you have to make decisions that will affect your vision for the rest of your life. All my questions were answered with a "well, that probably won't happen" or "that is unlikely". Never anything definitive. St Luke's used up all of my insurance and then $6,000 out of my pocket and the end result was that after 75 ye... read more

Florida is a wonderful warm climate destination for many retirees, and with this population we can expect the normal health concerns, not the least of which would be vision issues. Fortunately, we have virtually hundreds of viable options for treatment. However, I would like to warn you away from one of the most popular options; St Luke's Cataract & Laser Inst. in Tarpon Springs. This is a factory whose chief goal is to "sell" very expensive eye operations. You will spend more than your insurance will provide for most treatm... read more

Terrible experience. Wasn't given thorough explanation of side effects of surgery. Dr. Gills spent little time, decision motivated by money, ruined my vision. Went to another surgeon to correct, that wasn't a factory. Stay away!

Sucks! Like a assembly plant . Hours and hours of waiting, "next" they say. Would never go there again. Results were bad. Still wear glasses.

Just finished up with getting left eye done . The most important thing results excellent. It's nice to have the van to bring you up and back very good service. The operating room staff very good i would say the high.lite just below results surgery results . Chaplin very good puts a lot of people at ease. My second eye I don't think I was as nervous therefore this review more experienced opinion. A place of this size you may not get as much 'extra' personal treatment nor should you expect to in an operation like this. ... read more

What a strange experience . I am going through cataract surgery got one eye done . Seems to take forever to get the next one done .over 3 weeks ? Thats after being cleared for the one completed. Seems like one of those places they don't want to tell you too much . Cuts down on lawsuits. I guess . I would have questions written down on paper to ask .Definitely feel like I'm in a factory . No one's been rude nor overly friendly all professional .which is ok. So far no problems but feel it takes way too long from start to f... read more

Doc Pit is fine. Staff stinks. Needs to do more on his own .. Why is it your choice is made for you? An optician or Dr Gills? Who would go to an optician for a general eye visit? This is Appalachia? Except with an ethnic twist. Duh. I was switched to an optician by the fat nurse who works with the doc. Yes patient relations lacking. One star for staff ...five for Dr Gills.
