Excellent, top quality care from the Nurses, doctors, techs, dietary and housekeeping. Every encounter with an employee of SJWH was a pleasant one. I had my baby on 8/22/16 and was there for 3 days. Discharged and had to come back for 1 day on a different floor. Same excellent care from mom baby unit, to urgent care to high risk OB unit so service received was consistent. I just want to say a big thank you to SJWH.
They harrass new mothers to do unnecessary genital surgery while the rest of the world leaves kids genitals alone
Please don't pressure new moms into routinely altering their sons' genitals. And in particular, please lay off the moms of NICU babies. The AAP explicitly advises aganst cutting these frail infants, and continuing to do so is completely unconscionable. Circumcision is painful, harmful, and unnecessary. This is coming from my personal experience as a cut man who deeply resents that he was subjected to this hideous practice. Thanks.
The staff might be caring....... But coercing a NICU mom to circumcise her baby with normal genitals? How is that remotely caring? Yeah...... It happened.....
how dare you offer circumcision to newborn boys, especially in the NICU. My friend was harassed several times with this. What other healthy body parts are you willing to cut off of newborns? You should know better.
