Avoid this hospital at all costs! Go to Tacoma General. I delivered my baby here just a few days ago and I would not recommend that anyone choose to give birth here. The birthing center nurses are extremely insensitive and unsupportive. They will shame you for bottle feeding and formula feeding when you have no milk supply, but offer you no support with breastfeeding. My baby had high levels of jaundice and was not being adequately fed, but they let her leave the hospital within one day and did not give her any treatment. My... read more

The neurologists there diagnosed me quickly, which was very important, and got me quickly on road to recovery. The nurses on 6th floor ICU are God’s angels. They truly care about you and are so kind and funny too! I have to give Laura 5/5 gold stars for her care and fun attitude. I miss them!

St Joseph hospital is a great hospital, I was there visiting a dear friend.
Lousy nursing staff. Unsympathetic.
I had numerous surgeries as well as them fixing what was wrong. Each time the staff were very well and listened/heard me. Very clean room.
the staff were friendly, caring and responsive. The room had a great view.
when i went to give birth, it took them an hour to get me a room. we changed rooms 3 times while I was there. they tried giving me fentanyl for pain and when I told them I needed to push, they ignored me for almost an hour while my daughters head was stuck in my birth canal. they treated me horribly and couldn't even hold my leg up for me. after my epidural the nurse told me if I locked my legs, I would be able to walk to my bed.
