I have been conflicted on if I should write this review, and what I should say. I gave two stars because my kitten is okay - but next time I will definitely be returning to VCA River on Amnicola which I have had a fantastic experience with. We brought our new kitten in (she is around 10 weeks, rescued her around 4 weeks) due to her being lethargic and having tremors. They took her back immediately as we paid the standard 140 fee for her to be seen initially. They then sat us in a room for over an hour before the vet came in ... read more

I mentioned to the doctor at the initial interview prior to the exam that I was interested in learning about alternatives other than the $8k surgery that we did 9 months prior on the other leg. My dog is clearly having a problem in his leg, he can’t sit down as usual and is offloading weight but Dr P said he saw no issues at all. I cannot help but wonder what the result of the exam would have been if I didn’t say I wanted to investigate alternatives. I feel as though I am being misled. I brought my 71/2 year old cat here on 8/26/25 for symptoms of being sick. Ultrasound showed an inflamed kidney. Urine culture did not grow any bacteria so they would not order any meds. It is now 8/31/25 and my cat is having increased pain in his upper abdomen, very irritable when touched etc. Still no diagnosis or treatment and my cat continues to worsen. I want to add that my cat is now 12 days sick with no treatment. You wouldn't let a child go 12 days without treatment!

I do not recommend this play. They have no idea what they’re doing. Had a cat here earlier this year and they misdiagnosed her as having a torn paw pad but had her to her regular vet today as I’ve noticed the issue had happened again only to find out it’s a mass instead. Also had my dog here in February for them to try and charge me thousands of dollars to resuture her where she had busted open her sutures from her spay but I took her to the place that spayed her the following week and they told me she did not need to be res... read more
