Sherman King, owner of SRK Property Management and Northwest Properties, is the biggest scammer in D.C. Do not consider living at 160 Adams or at any of his properties for any reason. This absolute loser withheld my deposit for months while traveling the world with the money he owed—not just to me, but to several other people as well (just take a look at his Google reviews). I would not recommend SRK Property Management. After moving out in May 2025, I have yet to receive my security deposit back. It’s been months, and despite multiple attempts to call, no one answers the phone or returns messages. A responsible property management company should follow Virginia law and communicate with former tenants. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of accountability is unacceptable.
I filed multiple claims against him and won due to being illigally evicted by this company. STAY AWAY!
Extremely rude and unprofessional. I stayed at a property in Washington DC and the house was in deplorable conditions. The bathrooms were extremely small and not functional. The toilet in one bathroom did not flush. There were no batteries in any of the remotes. The basement where there was an extra bed that we needed was infested with millipedes and other unidentified bugs. There's a clear plumbing issue as the house wreaked of mildew.
