In 2017, i had a car wreck and taken to UK Hospital against my wishes. I had a broke left shoulder, elbow and ankle. One of those student drs tried to fix it. I finally complained about the pain. They put me in the hospital and Kamieni saw me the next morning. The elbow and ankle was fixed by some other bone doctor, this Dr Keminnenni took me to surgery to fixed my shoulder. After a year, I can still not raise my hand up to comb hair, the shoulder is in constant pain. Do not use UK/this doc

I am so sorry you have had such a poor experience, but may I say that when you have a complex injury, it was important, as dicussed, to not only followup with me, but also to attend PT as prescribed. I understand the travel distance can be a burden, but the cells and tissues that cause stiffness don't pay any attention to anything except when forced to move with PT. No surgery can be successful without compliant rehabilitation. I will be happy to help you if you want to followup in clinic.
Dr. Kamineni is the absolute best. Words alone can not describe this man. I had been on pain medicine 2 weeks prior to my surgery, and was only taking Tylenol 3 days after. He said he tries to "cut" as little as necessary to insure speedy recovery's. I could differently see the pride he takes in his work. His bed side manner was outstanding. He took the time to explain the surgery, and even gave me options on what he could do, and the different results they would likely yield.

Having a work related injury, I was not given the choice of surgeon i wanted, even tho I was a medical professional. I was assigned Dr. Kamineni. I went thru 7 months of PT complaining of pain entire 7 months. Dr. Kamineni missed 2 major steps in my injury/recovery. He dismissed me still having pain and took no steps to find the cause of the pain. Luckily after i paid for another MRI, WC allowed me to pick Dr. Donegan, with Bluegrass Orthopedics to correct and repair my work injury.

Sorry you felt this was not to your liking but a post based on your work, and "secondary gain" that is documentable if HIPPA laws allowed, seems very dishonest and disingenuous. Your progress under my care was very clear, as documented by various providers, yet you sought to pay for your own MRI within one year of surgery, knowing well, due to your occupation, that there will be findings (MRI effect) that a private practitioner will act upon if you complained enough about pain.
Dr. Kamineni done my complete shoulder replacement and done an excellent job. I have no complaints whatsoever. I have better range of motion than I ever expected after the surgery. I am able to continue with my normal daily activities.
