Slow and Not Great – My family just returned from the Springwater Grill a couple of hours ago. Other posters are right in saying that the service is slow. There were only 5 more tables full in the whole 30 tables restaurant and our food and service still took a long time. There were 2 waiters and the owner (I guess) helping all the tables but no one got their food fast. The ambience is very nice and the place is clean. A Gem – We found this place while looking for a bite before a movie, it was wonderful. The service was very friendly and fast. Their happy hour is a great value, only $2.50 per plate. We returned for dinner, delicious (we ordered the salmon and rib eye). They not only accept the Entertainment card, they allow you to return and use it repeatedly! A true value.
new FAVorite restaurant in Sellwood – Happened upon this place while looking for a bite to eat before catching a movie at the Moreland. The Happy Hour menu was very yummy and a lot of food and cheap! We told the server we had only a short time before the movie started and she had our food and check to us in just a few minutes. The food was served very hot and outstandingly good. One of our party left his laptop/briefcase in the restaurant and the hostess tracked us down in the movie theater to return it. Now THAT is service!... read more
NOT ALL THAT – I was very upset to find that upon ordering the high priced crab cake appetizer, it contained pieces of imitation crab meat! The only saving grace to the dinner was the rack of lamb special.
consistently amazing – after 3 visits, the last being on valentine's day, I feel compelled to offer my opinion on this wonderful little place. first, the food is fantastic- fresh, not too subtle or overpowering. the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. the kicker though, and I am not sure what to attribute this to, but every time I've been here I leave the place feeling miles better than when I arrived. a big part of it would be the staff, who have always been exemplary. not comfort food, quite, but definitely a comfort establish... read more
Diamond in the rough – Don't let the shady sellwood location fool you. this place is high class. Fresh ingredients make for wonderful dishes and cocktails. Considering the ingredients and time required prices are reasonable. Wait time was conserderable, but the food is freshly prepared and delicious. Finish your meal with a fresh sorbet. Yum yum. Entertainment card is accepted so entrees appetizers, cocktails, and desert for two cost $40 not bad for such a place.
