Excellent food and servcie for a very reasonable price – This has become our favorite restaurant in town, since it is reasonably priced enough to go frequently, but nice enough to feel like a night out. They've always been great with our daughter and the core staff are fantastic. As far as Westmoreland goes, I would place Springwater as miles ahead of Caprial's and Gino's (Papa Hydn's is still the best, but you pay a lot more for it).

Poor Customer Service – My husband and I went there for happy hour. They were supposed to open at 4:30. We arrived at 4:30 and the doors were locked. It was a rainy day and I was on crutches. The person behind the bar looked at us when we waved at him in hopes that he would open the door. He looked right at me and immediately looked away. (I know he saw the crutches) I can understand if they weren't ready for customers but they should have let us in and told us it would be a few minutes. We waited until 4:40 and then gave up... read more

Never even got to order – Possibly the rudest and slowest service I've gotten anywhere. Went there at 12 for brunch. While the restaurant was busy, it wasn't full. After getting seated, we ordered a coffee and mint tea and waited for close to 20 minutes for the waitress to come back. My wife and I had decided to leave when the waitress finally came back. She started to place the menus on our table and angrily swiped them away as she saw us standing. She made up an excuse that she got occupied by a large party and that we did... read more

Great value – You can't bet their happy hour at $2.50 for a full-size serving. I love the bbq pork sandwich and the salmon tacos. Brunch is also fabulous at $7.95. Try the salmon benedict. It comes with bread, fresh fruit, and home fried potatoes. The bloody mary was pretty darn good too. Springwater Grill has become a family favorite.

Crabcake Benedict!!! – Yes it was a special but very good. Hollandaise tastes like it has sour cream in it and is very creamy. Brunch is 7.95 for anything on the menu which is a true value in the day on $12-14 breakfast other places in town. Good place to have brunch on Sunday.

Global fare at Sellwood's local grill. – In Short Nestled on a charming high street, the grill makes for a pleasing rest stop. The long bar beckons and is a perfect place to nosh. From Asian to Italian, there's a little of everything on the menu--but best to visit for the affordable bar menu, daily lunch or weekend brunch for about $10. Desserts, however, are exceptional: the creamy dark chocolate boudin is particularly unforgettable.

Brunch is key – Best deal for Springwater Grill is brunch by far. It has been hit and miss at dinner time here but never at brunch. You do have to take the service with a grain of salt - ALWAYS SLOW. Not sure if they are understaffed or just bad, but it always takes forever. Not overly friendly either from the hostess on back. Food during breakfast is great and a steal at $7. Must admit the BBQ pork is fantastic. We'll continue to go here, just not when were in a rush. 01/17/06 - Service has improved and food quality just ke... read more
