Terrific donuts
Came here for the museum’s member appreciation day, and the Tavern was serving complimentary snacks. I didn’t get the name of the person working behind the bar making drinks that night, but he was working alone and despite it being really busy (and hectic), he was patient, polite and funny with everyone there. This is a recreated tavern that is cozy but VERY small! I recommend sitting outdoors if the weather is nice enough. I stopped in twice, once during the What Lurks Beneath event for a beer and once the following day for a quick snack. The service was quite good and fast. They made the alterations I needed to have a warm quick vegan bite. I got the flatbread without cheese and a Whalers IPA. The flatbread was meh, with too much balsamic vinegar. Consider it more of a historical site than an actual restaurant. Delivers on the experience but the food... It's basically microwave food.
I wouldn’t get food from here but it’s great to grab some drinks and walk around the sites
