Sports Column

About this business

Denver's preferred spots for local sports fans, Sports Column, offers five big screen televisions along with flowing booze and great grub. The typical bar food menu offers big portions at small prices, making it perfect for groups. Bronco fans fill up the room on Sundays in autumn, so beware of showing other team allegiances. The rooftop patio bar provides refuge from the sports scene and a dance floor draws an older crowd on Friday and Saturday nights. Rip roaring fun for all!

The place to catch a game! If you're looking for a downtown bar to catch a game, Sports Column is a great option. I went at 1p on a Sunday and was surprised to see how busy the place was already, when the Broncos weren't playing until 2p. The crowd actually slimmed down just before the Broncos game started and then filled up again. There are lots of TVs around the bar and many games being shown at any given time - so whoever you root for, you'll be able to find a set showing it here! Also, they had some good beer deals durin... read more

Great Place to Meet People This is an awesome place to watch the game or meet other young people. It can get pretty crowded and crazy on the weekends and the place seems to have more than its fair share of fights....still, it is one of my favorite places to go downtown. I'm a big fan of the rooftop karaoke.

Overrated The Sports Column does have some good specials, but it is generally overcrowded with a frat-boy population. There are plenty of nearby places like the Dugout which are more fun to watch the game at and plenty of other bars that have a much better atmosphere. If you are looking for a meat market crowd, then the Sports Column is your place. But if you are looking for good drinks and good music, you should head elsewhere.

Sports Column Denver is the BEST sports bar in Denver. Fast and friendly service and exceptional food. Football Sundays are full of all different sports teams and with 8 big screens and numerous 42'' screens there would be no game that can not be played. Summer time at the Sports Column is a wonderful place to hang out before and after Rockies games. Rooftop patio with more televisions and a great view of the Rockies Stadium. They have the best specials and Happy Hour is not just happy once a day. . with two Happy Hours goin... read more

Won't be returning – I went to this bar last weekend for the UFC fight. The cocktail waitress ignored us for the first twenty minutes we were there. When she finally asked me and my girlfriend what we would like, she was rude and acted as if we were bothering her. It took another twenty minutes to get our first drink's. When we finally did, I wasn't returned my change. This place is a joke and I'll never go again!!! Poor service and over-priced drinks!!!!

Great Place to watch the game – This place has it all, decent food, great service, rooftop patio! Any game you can imagine is viewable at the Column. Not my style on weekends, but the talent is fantastic. A great destination for their lunches or for Rockies home games. Fun and friendly staff. I've never had a bad time at the Sports Column.

Bathroom issues... – I have always liked Sports Column because of the prices and service. The bar tenders are nice and the usually sport fan crowd are my kind of people. Before my latest experience I would have given this bar a solid 4 star rating, but sadly, I can not longer ignore a few basic problems. First off, I would say I fall into the normal category of public bathroom users. Above all, I value my privacy. Of course I also want a bathroom that has been cleaned and stocked with soap and paper towel, but what I really ... read more

Fun Place but Watered Down Drinks – Two friends and I went to the Sports Column to watch the baseball game (we had tickets for the following day). We are all female and had several drinks without feeling a thing. We then did shots, I had 5... more than I've ever had before and bearly felt tipsy. BAD!!!

Best Sports Bar in Town! – This is the best sports bar in town. They cater to all teams and make everyone feel welcome. They have been around forever and have won numerous awards. The one thing they do well is keep out the jerks and rowdies to make your stay more enjoyable. Sure the service is not 100% ALL the time but I have never been anywhere where it is. And I would never wait 2 hours if I had to get to a game, I would have left or asked for a manager in 15 minutes.
