I had the unfortunate experience of being at Southridge against my will. They have concern for anything for the neck down. They didn’t carry my heart or diabetes medications, the diet wasn’t fit for dogs unless you want them to have heart failure. There were violent patients mixed with those suffering PTSD. The sessions were run by techs instead of trained social workers. The minimal necessities for hygiene were banned from patient bathrooms and kept under deadbolts. If you value your physical health as well as your mental. Run as far away from Southridge as fast as you can. No social workers running groups, no nutritional food. Broken arms going days without ER, no heart meds, no diabetes meds, no cardiac concern. Nothing matters from neck down. Can’t even have a BM without somebody having to view you 3 Xs! Quite concerned about some of the things I saw, and heartbroken because this service is so needed in our community. It's absolutely crucial that a psychiatric facility is adequately staffed and has proper systems in place prior to attempting to care for both violent and/or vulnerable patients. Unfortunately, for now I would seek care elsewhere.
