Best pulled pork barbecue I've ever had! Yummie yummie yummie. And the Brunswick stew was excellent
Ribs were great pulled pork tasty tasty and smoked wings dandy. Must stop (at least once) when visiting St Simons

My absolute favorite place to eat or take out. Delicious meats and vegetables with a splash of funk. Cool dive that you don't want to miss.
I live in South Florida but whenever I am on St. Simon's Island we make sure to eat at Southern Soul BBQ. It was my Mom's favorite place and she used to bring me back sauces and spices from there. We even ate there after her graveside service in Ogelthorpe cemetery to honor her memory.
Best BBQ in the south!! It's busy and you may have to wait in line.... but if it wasn't good... their would be no line!!!
Treated ourselves to lunch after a nice long bike ride. I had the brisket, wife had smoked turkey. It was all very tasty and they had an assortment of various sauces so you could dress it up as you liked. Very good barbecue served up very quickly and very fresh.
The ribs were possibly the best I have ever eaten. The collard greens were also excellent. Be prepared to wait to order and to sit outside to eat. My last trip was the 4th time I have been there but the first time I was able to sit inside.
If there is a line, it's worth the wait. Great food, good portions, and friendly service. Probably the best BBQ I have ever had.
