Wonderful food! Beef brisket, collard greens, macaroni and cheese were scrumptious!!! Shared an order of fried green beans and Brunswick stew as always; they are staples when you go to Southern Soul.
The brisket chili is amazing, the Brunswick stew is some of the best I've ever had, and the Cubano is super.
Best BBQ I have ever had hands down!!!! I pigged out on the Southern Soul platter. I got three meats, brisket, ribs, smoked sausage. Holy moly! My boyfriend got pulled pork. He loved it so much he order a pound to go for the next day! You won't be disappointed!!!!

Good food, nice atmosphere. Only issue we had was the lack of parking

In December, 2014, my baby brother who was battling Stage 5 Renal failure in St. Louis, MO, had a few dying wishes. One was to take his wife and 2 little girls to the beach for the first time, deep sea fishing and the most important go and eat @SourthernSoulBarbeque which was over an hour and a half from where I live near Savannah GA. I was told the prime rib sandwich was life changing. It did not disappoint.
Well what can I say...words do not do this place justice. Food is outstanding and the staff are out of this world. Easily the best value for your money in the SSI area.
