Maybe the most gunfire BBQ I've ever had!!!!!!!!!!!
So, so good! Pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw was the best thing I've eaten in a long time! Their sauces are amazing!
This is THE place! I had 1/2 rack of ribs, hush puppies, and fried okra, and it was all tasty and perfect. Great food, good prices, and friendly staff (+ a nice beer selection)… what's not to like?!! Get there early for weekday lunch though; it fills up quick.
Got our to go order wrong, so crowded and noisy. I know they are trying to keep up with demand but they just handed us our food, no ticket or verification. I should have checked it. Good sauce but I think they do well mainly because they are pretty much the only show in town. Ruined our trip.

I went today with my husband for the first time. He loves this place. We arrived Before 11 am. Ordered. He ordered his fav- pulled pork- I ordered the salad. I'm a hometown Memphis girl that moved here from Texas- I know a thing or two about BBQ. Still- went for the healthier option of salad with smoked turkey. My salad my have had an a ounce and a half of turkey- if I am being generous - not sure it was smoked at all. No "cukes, bleu cheese or bacon"on my salad. Highly recommend the brisket and pastrami. Oh, the burnt ends rock but you need to get there early as they will sell out. A+ BBQ.

PHENOMENAL! We planned our visit to Southern Soul for MONTHS, and it was definitely worth the wait, and we're already looking forward to a return trip!! We arrived in the midst of lunch rush, but I felt the wait was reasonable. Definitely some of, if not THE BEST, pulled pork/mac&cheese/fried Oreos/sweet tea I've ever had. Definitely a MUST for anyone visiting the area!
