The food was ok, hush puppies were alittle over cooked and bbq was allitle cold. Ive had alot better bbq from my uncle
Always, always, always the best! We stop anytime we're in the area, but made a special 3-hr drive yesterday just to dine there with my son who was home on leave from deployment. So worth the trip! We had pulled pork, brisket, smoked sausage, Brunswick stew, potato salad and hoppin' john (which is so good I may never even try making my own again)...all of it was perfection! I had dinner there last night. I absolutely love Southern Soul BBQ! Every time I come to SSI it's a must have. I had the ribs and pulled pork last night and everything was perfect. I love BBQ and have had it from all over. I would seriously put it up against anyone, anywhere! Oh, can't forget to brag about the staff. All the ladies are super friendly and will really take care of you! Keep it up, and see y'all next trip!
Ate here after a fun day of golfing at Sea Island. I had the pulled pork, which had a delicious, unique wood-smoked taste. Didn't need sauce, as all good pulled pork doesn't. The fries were great and the baked beans were tantalizing. A must if you're in St. Simons, and well worth a day trip from Jacksonville!
Best ribs I've ever eaten! First time at Southern Soul, will definitely not be my last.
The food is EXCELLENT!! The brisket was so tender, moist, and flavorful. The Brunswick Stew should be in a food museum of some sorts!!!! WOW!!!! Can't wait to re-visit and enjoy again!!
