Nice place. I arrived on the day of my check in, but was 6 hrs earlier than the planned check in time. I drove from NJ straight thru without a stopover. With the exception of a couple hrs slept at rest areas. So I was beat and wanted a shower and a bed, which they would only let me check in if I paid for the night before. I paid it unhappily. I feel ripped off. Rest of the stay was great.

Love this quiet, south of LasVegas strip, senior and family hotel. If you are interested in attending their Tuesday Motown show, we have missed it twice. Evidentially the local residents but up the tickets early. This morning Wednesday, my husband saw a local lady buying for next Tuesday's show. No tickets are set aside for hotel guests. Once we attended with standing only tickets. We are seniors and only saw part of the show as we are unable to comfortably stand. The hotel, casino, and buffet were fine. The house keeping, not so much. We checked in and got to our room. We were staying for 4 days so we unpacked all our clothes. I checked the mini fridge and there was food left from the previous occupants! There was a half drunk water bottle on top too! Then in the bathroom there was a dirty towel hanging on the hook behind the door. We called house keeping and they wanted to move us but because we had already unpacked we didn't. Hotel is awesome, have been staying there for years. Cafe is delicious especially the Chinese menu. Never had a bad meal at the Prime Rib or Mexican restaurant either. My only complaints are the slots have tightened up in the last few years.. and the beds need new mattresses. Pool and hot tub are awesome as well as the workers!

SOUTH POINT HOTEL AWESOME PLACE EVERYTHING YOU NEED IN A HOTEL. BOWLING ALLEY MOVIE THEATER, ALL KINDS GRINDS. EVERYDAY RODEO... LOVE IT...PLUS CLOSE TO DA OHANAZ...

This is the second time I have been here for the Nelrod Conference, and it's wonderful. The staff is always kind, considerate, and helpful. Hope to be back again.
