Worst doctor I've ever had. Is very arrogant, condescending, and rude. If you dare to question her diagnosis or judgment she becomes argumentative. Quick to run a thousand costly tests and put you on all kinds of medications instead of listening to you amd working with you to arrive at a diagnosis and determine a root cause. I used to be a pt of Dr. Whitaker's & I did get frustrated w/ her at times; however I have a new appreciation for her as she diagnosed me w/ having Alpha-1 in Sept. 2020. She also suspected I had Lupus. Alpha-1 is considered a rare genetic condition that almost every doctor I've met since then has no idea about. Dr. Whitaker had planned on starting me on Augmentation Therapy ASAP due to my labs & symptoms. I moved back to CA the month after my diagnosis (11/2020). Dr Whitaker is the most thorough and conscientious doctor I have ever been to. I am so thankful I am her patient and she is my doctor!

I agree Dr Whitaker is bright; however her follow up does not exist. For a quick visit to treat an issue, you see her assistant and pay a doctors price. I’ve been given a shot by her assistant which I was later told by a specialist for pain that was detrimental to my health. I’ve read reviews by retired nurses and others who say she is the best they have had, sorry for them. I was referred to Dr. Whitaker at Sorrento Perdido Key Ascension Sacred Heart by the Director of Sacred Heart, who highly recommended her. Aside from all the negative reviews she has received about how late she runs on her appointments, her bedside manner is so very discouraging. Dr Whitaker is a very caring and thorough doctor. She takes everything you tell her seriously and she does what she thinks best to remedy the problem. She’s very proactive and on top of my issues. Very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I’d recommend her over and over again. I’m glad I found her.

Dr. Whitaker is a very compassionate, intelligent, and innovative physician. Not many doctors took my complaints seriously as I am young and appear psychically healthy. Dr. Whitaker did in-depth studies and has resolved all of my issues. I could not have asked for a better physician. I see a few complaints mentioning wait time, to that I say, if you want comprehensive medicine then you may need to wait a few more minutes that usual because she does not allow her patients to leave without everything being resolved.

Dr Whitaker is the most caring, knowledgable and thorough physician I have ever seen. Her compassion, caring, and follow up is far beyond excellent. I am a retired RN and have never experienced the superior care anywhere I have lived. I highly recommend Dr Whitaker to anyone that desires the feeling of comfort and care when seeking medical care. Her staff is caring, efficient, and personable. I enjoy my visits and actually look forward to the interaction eith the staff and Dr Whitaker.
