This is the worst pediatrician that we've ever had. Dr Ruiz should not be a doctor for children or any one at that point. She was rude and pushy. My family had to move an hour and 40 minutes away and when my son had an appointment I drove him here because that was on his insurance but planned on switching pediatricians after that. Never will you wonder how Sonia Ruiz feels about you because her face will tell it all. I refuse to even call her a doctor. I just moved from California and needed physical and immunization for my kids transcribed into Florida. My oldest has Asperger's, learning disability and memory issues and is on depression meds, I told her and in front of him she yells "no he don't have that he had ADD! He needs vitamin do you drink milk? (we drink plant base milk) " No he needs cow's whole milk" then checks my youngest who is a tad over weight and says he has thyroid issues. If your child is overweight do not go here. She shames the child and parent. Insist on vitimin suppliments but the can only be the ones she sells online. Seems unethical to me. Insist I get these vitimins. I told her they were to expensive and she told me to put them on a credit card.

Do not go here!! She is disrespectful to both her patients and her employees. Experienced yes, but not with dealing with people. She needs to be taught how to be respectful first before dealing with the public.
Worst pediatrician I have every had my kids at. She made my 16 year old daughter feel pressured, ashamed of herself and humiliated. All she went in for was a shot and Dr Ruiz told her she needed blood work done. We said no because we were still waiting for her to review the other test she had done a month ago. She said she did not have the results yet so I told her to get them and she said its not her problem. DO NOT GO HERE!!!
I had a bad experience too, she was rude with my little one he always was happy going to his Dr. app now he says he hate doctors.
Talks down to parents, no compassion or care is taken to help things run smoothly. Does important tasks on a geologic time scale. Run as fast as you can from her, and if she is the on-pediatrician at Brandon Hospitol, wait or look for a better one.
