My wife and I could not be happier with our decision to go with Solar Optimum. We were close to going with another provider because of pricing but after digging deeper into that company's reviews, we ultimately decided Solar Optimum was the better choice based on their rating, customer service, and value. The process for installation was quick and easy. We were grateful our representative, *****, was so ****** communicative and transparent, which made for no major surprises. We could not have asked for a better experience.
Definitely wish I had checked their BBB profile and complaints before contracting with Solar Optimum. Contracted for new roof, solar panels and battery and on the third day our roof was on fire during the install. Roofer accepted liability but what really upset our family was how slow Solar Optimum was to show any care for what happened as the company we hired. I worked with a different vendor than Solar Optimum at first to try to set up my solar system - had nothing but headaches and couldn't get a firm price. I switched to Solar Optimum via Ensage (my Step son had a system installed by Solar Optimum and recommended the Ensage site for comparison and contact actions). Terrible Company and Dishonest People, Made Me Lose NEM2 Status Solar Optimum gave me a contract price so I signed up with them to qualify for NEM2. Then they came up with this roof reinforcement that was necessary for before installing the system on my roof. They have a roofing division that does roof related work. Other contractors were able to install without any roof modifications. The contract price with this change went up by roughly 50%. I did pretty extensive research and felt like they were were competitive in quality, customer service and price. Kevin my main contact and Gina my design consultant have been very accommodating. Very quick to answer my calls. Helped work with me on making changes I wanted with no problem.
Overall great company to deal with. Very prompt with scheduling and great job on installation. Best part is, when you call, you actually get to talk to a person! It seems like the company is smaller in regard to other competitors, but is nice because requests and questions do not get lost in the abyss!
Buyer beware: This company relies on your ignorance! Short version: If you're the type of person who is laissez faire, then you'll probably think you're having a great experience even though they are completely taking advantage of you.
