Company is unresponsive. We purchased a home at the end of March that was sold stating the warranty on the solar panels that were installed a year ago is transferable. Solar is Freedom has not answered any calls or emails. We learned today that new customers are being sent to another company and the warranty cannot be transferred to a running company. So now we have solar panels with no warranty and no other company will touch them because they didn’t install them.
I have had my solar panels for about a year and I'm very pleased with the reduction in my electric cost. However, I had wind damage to my roof a month ago and have to have my roof replaced. I have called solar is freedom everyday for the past two weeks and left messages for someone to contact me about removing my panels until the new roof is on and then replacing them. No one has responded to me. I am very disappointed and I now have water coming through my ceiling. The roofers cannot begin work until the panels are removed
Our panels were installed in December 2022. We had issues with the original install and a $500 cash payment was offered. After following up several times and being told "the check is in the mail" I reached out again at the end of March. My sales contact was Alex and he responded to my text message saying he no was no longer with Solar is Freedom and to reach out to the owner, Tony R****** with any questions. The whole process was very easy. My account and project manager made things simple. The project took the time they claimed it would and everything has been working well since they were turned on.
My panels were installed 2 months ago and are yet to be functional after 2 failed city inspections, fingers crossed for the 3rd!. The company is telling me it is just because my city is picky, I'm glad they are. I wish Solar is Freedom were more picky! I also have an issue where the installers missed the trusses in multiple places in my roof. I realize that is a possibility but we had to find them on our own. In the beginning they were very helpful. We were told the system would pretty much cut our electric bill in have! Well we have seen maybe a $20 and that is not worth it. I have been trying to talk to them and now we have very little contact. I am so frustrated it’s driving me crazy! I have asked them to come get the panels and cut ties with us, we have paid for panels that don’t work! I need some advice WE WANT THE PANELS GONE AND FOR THEM TO REIMBURSE US MONEY.

I had a system installed by SIF and they are very unprofessional. The technician never registered our system's serial numbers so I can not see the system producing on the App. I never received directions on how to turn the system on once the project was completed. The company switched project managers without out reaching out and informing me. I had solar panels installed in Sep 2019 by Solar is Freedom. In 2020 I had a roof leak and found I needed a new roof. It took me a year to get a response from Solar is Freedom to schedule the panels removed so I could get a new roof installed. So the very end of Sep 2021 I had the panels removed and a new roof installed then the panels reinstalled at the very end of Nov 2021. Solar is freedom painted a picture of a perfect business relationship when in the signing process. Then once we signed it was all down hill from there. Even after months of looking for answers Tony R******, the owner showed me that it all starts from the top. That is why lies and Deceit is the business plan for Solar Is Freedom.
