Love Dr. Z and his staff. He’s very competent, great at finding a good balance of listening and engaging during sessions. He also seems genuinely invested in his patients’ overall health and happiness. He’s flexible with appointment times/settings and payment options. Definitely recommend.
Dr Zahedi is a smart, no nonsense psychiatrist. He is professional and intuitive. His office manager Shannon is awesome and helpful. I highly recommend this practice.
The first visit to Dr. Zahedi I left mad angry and cancelled my next appointment. Why you ask I give him 4 stars. Well as I looked for help elsewhere I realized that what I needed was exactly what he had given me..... the honest truth. He is a great doctor and if you cannot handle the truth bluntly then well go find someone else. If you WANT help and the honest opinion and help then I highly recommend him. He's down to earth and literally turned my life around for the first time I have hope
Dr. Zahedi has always shown a very caring attitude. His main concern is always the wellbeing of his patients. Over the years I have made met several psychiatrists, who have treated family members. As far as I'am concern Dr. Zahedi is in the upper ranks of his profession. I can't say enough about him, except that I'am so thankful our family has found him and is now receiving excellent care!
Dr. Z has helped my loved one come off of a variety of meds that had been prescribed by her previous physician. They had totally changed her personality and she was clearly over medicated yet still extremely anxious all of the time. Dr. Z was very patient and careful to slowly wean her down while finding the proper medication. She is no longer anxious and her personality has returned. Dr. Z stays in touch with our family between appointments & is reachable by email or phone after hours
I found Dr. Zahedi to be non-judgmental and kind. He was quite knowledgeable about medications, and allowed me to be a partner in the decision making process. He educated me about diagnosis and my prognosis; I wasn't surprised, since he is a professor at two Universities.
I am not saying any of this to be vengeful or rude, but to make sure no one has the bad experience i had. Dr. Zahedi works as a prison psychologist, and it should stay that way. Theres a way to be blunt and truthful without being hurtful. Going into that office, I was hopeful and excited. Leaving, i was in tears from rage and hopelessness. Telling a mentally ill individual that they're not going to get better, even if its true, is flat out insensitive. Theres just nicer ways to say things.
