Today I went to the Smokey bones restaurant located 10260 Forest Hill Blvd, Wellington, FL 33414. Today my family took me out to eat for Father’s Day. After we went in and requested a table for 8 people we sat and waited patiently however 40 min went by and I notice everybody else was already seated even the people that just walked in 🤔so I ask the receptionist what’s going on we’ve been waiting for 40 min and everyone else is getting in? Food was great. Service not so good. We were there around 3 pm, so it wasn't rush time. Got seated and waited a while before somebody even showed up to take our drink order. At that point we already picked our meals. When food arrived, my husband cut his steak and it wasn't cooked properly. The waitress was taking order at the table right next to us, so I assumed she will check if our food is ok, when she is done. Well, she didn't even bother and dissapeared. Haven’t been here since it first opened. Last night was our first time back in over 12+ years. Overall, the food was pretty good!!! We were a party of 8, got sat right away on a Friday evening without reservations and our waitress was very nice. Their loaded nachos, onion rings, and fried pickles were awesome! My baby back ribs were tender and saucy with a very slight kick (I don’t like spicy but these were tolerable). My baked potato was cooked to perfection with the skin being salted (my favorite). It was our first time at Smokey Bones, we where celebrating a Birthday...Our waitress was great very attentive, we ask questions about some plates and she knew what to recommend to us..We will recommend and come back to Smokey Bones again at Wellington... A team of A.A. professional educators, called ahead to make sure a party of 12 could be accommodated, were told yes. Waited 1hr 25mins with water/tea only. No food. Party of 10 caucasian educators came in after A.A. party served drinks & food within the hour. No apology, no manager, just poor excuse about shortage of cooks. Blatant lie to A.A. group that had to leave to return to workshop & had to pick-up fast food! Unbelievable poor racist service.
I sent an email to Smokey Bones about bad service at my last - VERY LAST - visit to SB in Wellington and the response I got from Corporate was "we tried to contact you and have closed this case". Well news to me! I got 1 email that said I would be contacted and no one made any attempt to do so AT ALL. Don't go here - THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT LONG TIME CUSTOMERS and the service STINKS. GO TO FLANIGANS, they actually smile and serve you there.
