I had a service dog with me and they told me to put it in my car�
I was so excited to eat here because several people from home talk about this place. Plus I saw it on tv and figured it would have been awesome. Sadly it wasn't worth the drive at all. Unfriendly staff, dirty tables, no forks(so odd), brisket was so dry, and everything else was just average.

Brisket was over cooked. Sausage was too greasy. Also, get with the times...cash-only is a hassle for customers.
Jalapeño sausage was great! Brisket was a little tough.

Great food, atmosphere! Texas bbq. the way it's supposed to be. Better than Blacks, Kreuz, all of them....need to incorporate forks into the picture however. Love the way you order your meat, the butcher paper etc., but they need to stop the stubbornness and give people the option of having a fork to eat with, help slice your meat etc. Small detail, but important Smittys, give us a break! Lifelong Texan resident bbq eater.....
Unusual setup. Great BBQ brisket. Loved the old bldg.
