Maybe it was a bad day or something but the brisket wasn't fit to eat. I asked the guy for burnt ends and apparently he had never sliced a brisket since he cut with the grain.
Amazing! Highly recommend! The best barbecue ever.
Smitty's Brisket was really good - one of my favorites...better than Blacks BBQ in my opinion. However, maybe I just like Rudy's too much but I don't think Smitty's beats Rudy's. Brisket is basically how I personally judge a BBQ place in Texas. If BBQ Brisket is good - I typically like other things on the menu also. Notably, the ribs were not as good as some others. As a wise retired Air Force CMSgt once told me "It's the Sause that makes the ribs". That could not be more true for Smitty's. Great BBQ.
Our family favorite for generations! � It was my grandpa's favorite! Last stop for my meat eaters before we get home!
