Over rated ..pork ribs were fantastic...sausage n brisket very bland..potato salad n beans mediocre...
Authentic and historic. Suggest the beef sausage since that’s not something you usually find at a BBQ joint. Travel back in time and bust your gut!
I was visiting my son here in Austin and he knew I wanted some good BBQ. Took me to this place! Good down to earth Texan BBQ!
Great ribs and I also loved the jalapeño sausage. The brisket was dry.
My mother grew up in Lockhart. And her whole entire family has been going to Smitty's. And myself and my sibling have been going there since we were all toddlers. Love the smoke sausages & lean meat. I just love going there.
Spent my 21st birthday at smittys had a zeigenbock and got a nice tour after our meal as well as a cherry vanilla waffle cone
The brisket was really good and Dr. Pepper in glass bottles, always a good sign. I would have enjoyed a fork, but let's be honest it was worth it. Cash Only!!!!!
Came from San Antonio because we'd heard all this buzz about this place. Brisket was very dry n tough. They didnt have any Mac n chz. Staff was very unprofessional except for Troy. He was the only one that came around to check on us n was friendly..... the woman serving beans was so unpleasant and really should be washing dishes away from the public! SO DISAPPOINTED and definitely will never go back.
