The human body is an amazing "machine." I am privileged to be able to help it heal itself most of the time. Therefore, I consider myself a "conservative" surgeon, if there is such a thing. My job is to allow you, the patient, to select which course you wish to pursue through thorough education about your condition, the treatment options, and expected outcomes. Together we can decide which course of treatment is best for you. I am happy to treat all types of patients in my practice, from a seven-foot-tall professional basketb... read more

Brought my 8 year old son in for a broken hand. Dr Smith was professional and knowledgeable. We were in and out of there in about 30 minutes!
I would highly recommend Dr. Scott Smith. He has replaced both of my hip joints and I received excellent care from him. He takes time to explain the process and he makes sure that all questions and concerns are answered.
Dr. Smith replaced both of my knees in a 5 month period and it was one of the best things I've ever done. After the rehads I have normal range of motion and no pain in either knee. It was a very positive experience all the way around.
Another misdiagnosis from the looks at these reviews. I had my ACL surgery done a year ago and was still experiencing pain in my knee when loading weight. he said everything was fine and told me to keep working to make it stronger. i believed him and it did not get any better for months. Refused to do an MRI saying he probably would not be able to see what was going on there. Went to get another opinion and got an MRI that revealed that i have arthritis in my knee. Do not recommend at all.
Very easy to talk to
Dr. Smith was helpful in explaining my knee function and degeneration in a language I could fully understand. I was appreciative of his guidance through review of my x/rays, and his support and suggestions toward my goals of fitness and recovery.
Dr. Smith was straight forward in his interaction with me. We discussed my diagnosis and treatment options. He was open to my input, and allowed me to look at options available, and some not available because I am such a complex patient. He was knowledgeable and articulate.
Great healthcare provider very knowledgeable and friendly staff, customer service is outstanding
When I went to see Dr. Smith, I was in so much pain. My knee was swollen, the patella pushed up with a huge dent under the patella. I had fallen on my knees on hard tile. Based solely on x-rays, he said there was no damage and no reason not to walk on it. Second opinion: After MRI, Meniscus torn, knee bones bruised, front and sides, loose pieces of cartilage floating in my knee, bone edema & other cartilage injury. Need surgery soon Smith, incompetent or vain? hard to tell. Misdiagnosed
