This is the most incompetent Doctor I have ever met. His staff is horrible. Had me almost have to have my foot amputated because he left the cast on too long and didn’t even give the option of therapy when needed.
Dr. Slappey was disheveled, rude and uncaring. He was in too much of a hurry to listen to my complaints. I ended up at a different surgeon’s office with a severe infection from Slappy’s surgery.
I think Dr. Slappey had me mixed up with another patient. I tried to get him to understand who I was but he dismissed every thing I told him. He says it's arthritic and would need to take arthritic meds . I got a second opinion . I Need Surgery which is what he recommended when I saw him back end of last year. however I needed to take care of another health issue first. My vet could have done a better job!
Dr.slappey is the WORST dr I have ever seen in my life. I had gone in for left foot and ankle pain. He ignored everything I said to him sent me to physical therapy. He never told me what was wrong. The physical therapist thought I was there for post surgery care. I had to take a leave from work for this issue. Dr slappey charge me $25 to fill out my leave paperwork and didn't even fill in the correct date for my start of leave. So I may lose my job because of his LACK of care for his patients.
Dr. Slappey was great and very caring. We talked about all the possibilities and he answered all my questions.
Do not use this doctor. Dr Slappey was uncaring, dismissive , and totally lacks any sympathy. Not only did he not spend time with me- his staff put my cast on wrong causing terrible pain. After several calls they grudgingly offered to check it and guess what.... Foot wasn't positioned correctly and material was left on my foot and in the cast that caused more pain because they rushed through the casting. This doctor stinks !
TERRIBLE. I felt like I was being treated as just another case, and not a real person. He has absolutely NO bedside manner. He did not give me all of the possible options for treatment. I don't think he listened to me at all. I would not even recommend my worst enemy to him.
