Elderly mother on Medicaid spent 4 months trying to get lost partial dentures replaced. The staff is pleasant, but the phone is rarely answered. We had to go to the office to check on status. And there is a strange odor that permeates the office. For months Dr Skordas told us she was approved. He supposedly cleaned her teeth and filled a cavity. This was an initial visit to establish a new dentist. I was able to secure an appointment about a month out.Arrived for my appointment 15 minutes early as instructed to an indifferent receptionist and to fill out paperwork, which was unreadable. You know when you make copies from a copy and continue to do that? The pages were almost white with a gray blur that you couldn't read. Wonderful Dentist. He has helped rebuild teeth that were non existent. He has been my dentist for last few years and is always kind to me and my family. Ivy the receptionist is always so kind. Thank you for everything you do to help people. He is busy always because he works alone with front desk. He has done cleaning, fillings, extractions, rebuilding teeth prescribed antibiotics for me. This is the best dentist I have ever seen! Very compassionate, funny and gentle. He does anything for his patients. If you have an emergency, he can usually get you right in. This does make other appointments run behind. I don’t mind waiting because I know he is good and he is worth the wait. I used to be a dental assistant in another state and this dentist goes to the top of my list of best! My husband is his patient as well and he really makes sure he is okay the whole time.
My daughter has been going to Dr.Skordas for years and he has always taken great care of her! We have been so pleased with him that we always recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgable and trustworthy dentist. My daughter had a severely infected tooth with lots of sensitivity and face swelling . Dr.Skordas did such an amazing job with her root canal that she felt absolutely no pain. If you want a dentist that truly cares and doesn’t penny pinch or talk you into unnecessary procedures, this is your guy!
Did not feel like I was at a used car dealership. Changed from dentist of port charlotte because of a hard sell and unnecessary upcharges that were not covered by insurance. Dr. Skordas was prompt, polite, and efficient. Very nice experience at his office. He was gentle and thorough. My husband was told at the pt char. place that he would need $1400 worth of work, all not covered by insurance of course. We had a 3:30 appointment and to wait almost 3 hours. The people at the front desk are rude and don’t wear a mask (covid numbers are high but they aren’t following cdc guidelines). Dr. Skordas doesn’t do gum measurements, doesn’t floss your teeth, didn’t take X-rays, incomplete service. The inside is not clean, the exam chair is all ripped up. The worst dental experience ever.
He kept brushing off my dental provlems and I've since turned eighteen and changed insurance. My new dentist referred me to an orthodontist and I've just found out that since I'm an adult now, insurance won't cover surgery. $4,000 out of pocket. Thanks a lot.
Dr. Skorda is NOT gentle. He was extremely abrasive when he was cleaning my teeth. While he was cleaning my teeth he was yelling to the girls at the front desk. I felt like he wasn't focusing. It made me feel very uneasy. I have very healthy gums and teeth and he said he didn't think it was necessary for me to have my teeth cleaned every 6 months and said I could go to once a year! BEWARE OF STACY AT THE FRONT DESK! SHE IS RUDE AND OBVIOUSLY HATES HER JOB!
