A wonderful destination. Located in historic Silvermine area of Norwalk, Connecticut
Must see! Must go! Must stay! I took a peek at 2 of the 6 upscale, rustic-chic rooms in the inn. Each individually decorated with reclaimed wood elements and incredible fireplaces, all with amazing river views. I did not want to leave, but it was time for dinner.
Great food, great service, beautiful setting. Norwalk was crying for a place like this. BUT... your wine list is price gouging 101 ( really... Twenty Rows Cab: retail price $20 your list $60... 100% mark up acceptable 200% mark up = gouging and off putting) yes your Quintessa and Magnum of Silver Oak are "only" 100% of reasonable retail but not many going that route. Don't undermine your otherwise great attributes with such gouging If not for that it would be 5 stars!!
Had a wonderful dinner with friends last Saturday night at GrayBarns - the halibut was awesome. Looks gorgeous. Great staff - off to a terrific start!
