However with the demise of the Great Gorge Railway in 1938, the construction of a superhighway to Toronto, and excessive pollution strangling the river, the waterfront declined. The only activity was the piling of sand dredged from the river bottom. Beginning in 1978 the waterfront had a rebirth. The village trustees purchased the land and opened it up to fishing, and a launch was put into place. RecommendedGreat food for great atmosphere
After my family and I finished our meal today, our car wouldn't start. Jeff who was trying to dry off the tables came over (with another customer) to help push our car back. Jeff then went to get his car so we could jump our car. When we thanked him his response was "I just hope someone would help me too". We have always loved the food, but the service is the best.

Love going to The Silo. had the signature Haystack, a Silo Burger with cheese and a regular order of fries ( large enough for 2). The food is always awesome. No seating inside because of Covid-19, but it was a great day to eat outside with the view of the river and Canada. Cleanliness was a top priority with the tables and around the order area.
Always stop on my yearly visit to Niagara. Never disappointed!!
