I am from the Bay Area and had the tragic experience of having to put down my fur baby of 16 years, Bailey, on the day before Thanksgiving 2020 while my family was visiting Truckee for the holiday. The staff was caring and warm. The facility was clean and welcoming. Dr. Thompson was wonderful. I couldn’t have asked for a kinder vet to help me with the process of letting my little buddy go. Thank you all for supporting me on what was a very hard day.
If you want your puppy to be taken care of from the worst of the worst into the best of a worst case. You want your puppy here !
They answer their phones and questions. I went in twice with my Bowie. Very detailed, compassionate and not money hungry. All the staff had been phenomenal. Wednesday I thought I was going to lose my puppy.! As of tonight he is back to his normal self! Pray it stays that way. They are available 24/7 and don’t make you feel like your overreacting. ❤️

Had to bring my 10.5 year old pup to get her swollen muzzle checked out. Checked in, seen, assessed, antibiotics prescribed and checked out in 45 minutes. Great bedside manner and very clean facility. Great job!
I had gone to the other ER vet in town (Animal emergency Center) and after spending a grand, waiting in the car for 6 hours, dealing with rude techs, etc- they said she just had arthritis, gave me doggie ibuprofen and to follow up with my regular vet. My dog continued to decline, was in severe pain, and could not walk or put any weight on her front left leg. I took her into Sierra today, as I couldn’t find one vet in town that could see her before August. The place is very nice and clean, and everyone was very kind. They too... read more
They are super nice here. I've had to bring my dogs here for emergency treatments and well checks. They've always been caring and kind!
I live two hours from Reno in a rural town and called asking what the care offered by the vets here would be versus what my vet had already told me. My puppy tested positive for Parvo. Denise on the phone was rude and dismissive and kept telling me to ask my family vet to do more than they did (which obviously I was calling to see if Sierra would do more because I didn’t feel my vet’s treatment was sufficient) and that the treatment they already offered was not going to “cure” parvovirus but also told me multiple times “I’m ... read more
