Breaks my heart to write this review. The staff at Shriners is incredibly kind and courteous. But, the management of the sports medicine program is horrible. In late 2016, I came to Shriners to ask for help with my daughter, who had frequent dislocations of both shoulders, caused by her violent seizures - which are now under control. My son had surgery at Shriners this week! I love love love this hospital! They turned a really uncomfortable situation into an amazing, extremely memorable experience! All I can say is wow! Staff, food, gifts, things to do... WOW!!
I love this hospital and all of their staff. They took care of my son every second he was a patient here. They were very informative, and gave him the best care during his 2month stay. Not to mention his Physical therapist was excellent and helped in every way to make him comfortable while in session, the recreation floor was great for children of all ages with an outside basketball court and play structure; plus the cafeteria food was great. I was initially impressed with the cleanlyness of the Pre-Op room (lack of dust bunnies). We have been in ICU for 3 days now. Javier is the best housekeeper I've ever had!! The ICU nurses are great. It's hard not to get frustrated as this is a new & unknown experience for us (no one likes to be in the hospital), but the ICU nurses & staff are so patient, kind & compassionate with us (which is not always easy). We need adult hospitals like Shriners!
Well nice people on the team or prep team next month my daughter under goes her 2nd OR visit in her life 1st one was done in sf n this is done here I'll keep u posted
