Average Trendy – Despite of the location, it was not so impressive overall. To me, its just another trendy restaurant in town, nice & clean interior with sort-of-artistic objects, cute but not sophisticated hostesses and Asian influenced appetizersunfortunately nothing really stands out. I liked the food they provided but I am not sure if I will go back to this restaurant for any food particular. In case you are planning to go, bring $6 to valet park your car by teenagers.
i'm first to "SHOUT" it out!!! – Urban,Metropolitan,Glitzy decor, great view of the city. I was amazed when I set foot in this establishment. Luckily, we got VIP access due to the private party. I have never seen so many well dressed men, ages 30-50 in one venue. The eye-candy was absolutely wonderful and the "networking" which I find to be the new word for "flirting" was great! The drinks were pricy(sex on the beach@9.00) but no reluctance too indulge due to the ultrahip scene. The djay must have a fetish for Prince, since ... read more
Can be great if you pick the right time/day – I have been to Shout several times since it has opened and the experience can be quite different, depending on when you go. Friday happy hours are too crowded, yet Saturdays don't seem to be too bad. The sushi is quite good, considering the focus is defininitely not on the food at this place. Prices on food are very reasonable considering how high the drink prices are. It is ideal for a early saturday dinner before walking to the theatre or symphony across the street.
WHarp – I was amazed when I first set foot in the entrance of line. Luckly I got VIP access so I didnt have to wait to get in. But the eye candy is a whole different story. I have never seen so many beautiful women in one area in my life. I didnt really eat sushi but for some reason the sushi I had was very good. The best I've eaten. I will be a guest of shout every friday night........One thing I didnt like was the fact I Valet parked and it took like 25 min. to get my car back.
All form, moderate function – The scene was entertaining and the layout stimulating but the menu is uninspiring and the service was medicore (slow to get to you and then rushed once there). Shout is a place to go to be energized but not for spectacular or creative food.
Cover charges – With the understanding that Shout is the IT spot on Friday nights, my friend and I decided to get there early. We arrived at 8:30 pm and found a line that easily had over 200 people. While we debated if it was really worth the wait, we were shocked to find that they had the nerve to have a $10 cover charge. There is also a charge to get into the upstairs area as well. Security also kept announcing that if we bought bottle service (no idea how much that would be) we could get in immediately. Did the owners for... read more
Great atmopshere, pretty good food. – A group of 7 of us ate at 7:30 pm on a Saturday night. The place was empty when we were seated, but packed by the time we left. I love the atmopshere of this place, and it has a great location in Midtown. It really is huge- there are quite a few different areas and floors. As for the food, it was pretty solid. Everyone loved the 3 Greek Spread. The indian dishes were mostly bland. The pizzas are a good bet. Everyone seemed to agree that the sushi was the best part. In fact, three people ... read more
Cannot handle large parties – I was looking forward to going to this place as this is the type of place I and my friends enjoy. Unfortunately, they were unable to handle our large party despite plans made 3 weeks ahead of time. The service was poor. It would've been better if they offered a set menu b/c it took 2 hours for everyone to get their food. The atmosphere was upbeat, though loud. They also did not let people in even though we had agreed on a guest list for the dinner ahead of time. It is poor management when you br... read more
Doesn't Live up to the Hype – I've been twice over the last few weeks. Although the restaurant is nice, it was CROWDED. There was a 2.5 hour wait to be seated, and in the space of two weeks, they don't take reservations on the weekend and you have to buy bottle service to sit at the small tables along the wall. The food is just OK and the drinks are nothing memorable. Not worth the crowd or the price!
