About this business
Shoreline Sightseeing, established in 1939, began with one vessel offering Lake Michigan Boat Tours showcasing Chicago's fabulous skyline. Now in our third generation of family ownership and operation and in our 77th season. Shoreline Sightseeing has a fleet of ten touring vessels and nine water taxis. In 1996, we brought the first water taxis to Chicago. All our touring vessels have been custom built or custom modified to offer our passengers the highest standards of comfort and safety.

Used the water taxi today to get to/from Navy Pier and Willis Tower...best part of our day trip into the city. To be honest, I was concerned as we got there early and we were the only two passengers going from Navy Pier to Willis tower but the taxi left and ran on schedule even with only 2 passengers. My only complaint was price, at $10 per passenger it can be costly to use especially if you have a family. I wish there was a round trip or multi-trip discount option. Just took 35 kids on a tour--everyone was nice and helpful. Our students really enjoyed it. Ben was our guide and he did a great job sharing the greats of Chicago.

The tour was excellent. Jim was very friendly and full of knowledge. He cared about everyone and made sure everyone could hear fine. He even made sure we were all comfortable. Great job, Jim!
This was absolutely Fantastic from Start to Finish!! Everyone was Super Friendly from when we bought the tickets to the end of the excursion. I highly recommend Shoreline Sightseeing to anyone visiting Chicago!!

Easy online ticket purchase (through TripAdvisor), staff was helpful, bar was well stocked, guide was funny and informative, rather was perfect... what more could you ask for?!
