About this business
Shoreline Sightseeing, established in 1939, began with one vessel offering Lake Michigan Boat Tours showcasing Chicago's fabulous skyline. Now in our third generation of family ownership and operation and in our 77th season. Shoreline Sightseeing has a fleet of ten touring vessels and nine water taxis. In 1996, we brought the first water taxis to Chicago. All our touring vessels have been custom built or custom modified to offer our passengers the highest standards of comfort and safety.

Went to change tickets for a later time because there was not enough space on the one we had previously booked. They changed our tickets and gave us the wrong time. We waited in line patiently and when we showed our wrongfully timed tickets we were immediately kicked off the boat and screamed at by a staff member and he forcefully closed the gate on my grandmother without a care. He then banned us from the boat. Absolutely terrible experience.
We just went on a tour there yesterday. Great time for me and my wife. If I get back up that way agsin we are going to do the river tour.
Best way to spend my last day in Chicago! What a beautiful city!
Wonderful experience, rude staff that don't get customer service, waited an extra 15 minutes for an employee to saunter back with a piece of pizza from Navy Pier. Pricey for a one way trip, the river & city do all the work!
Why are people permitted to stand in the bow? They were told to move. They were moved twice. The last 20 minutes I couldn't see. I stood in line for 45 minutes so I could get this seat. The crew should be more attentive to this.
We had such a good time on this tour and all of us agreed this was the best part of the trip! Our guide Jim was great! Very friendly and informative! We will definitely do this tour again, it was so much fun and such a wonderful way to spend some time in Chicago!!!
