About this business
Shoreline Sightseeing, established in 1939, began with one vessel offering Lake Michigan Boat Tours showcasing Chicago's fabulous skyline. Now in our third generation of family ownership and operation and in our 77th season. Shoreline Sightseeing has a fleet of ten touring vessels and nine water taxis. In 1996, we brought the first water taxis to Chicago. All our touring vessels have been custom built or custom modified to offer our passengers the highest standards of comfort and safety.

We took an architecture river tour and it was amazing. The tour guide Jim was so good. My high recommendations!
Nice boot tour with some great Chicago knowledge. The breeze off the lake water was even better!! We enjoy the shoreline tours in Chicago.
We went on the architecture tour with BEN on July 3 at 7:30 pm. It was a wonderful experience and Ben had great commentary, was a font of information and provided great context and structure. We missed the north branch of the river, but the tour was amazing and satisfying!!

The architectural tour guided by Dave was absolutely awesome. He did a fantastic job. Learned a lot and gained a whole new appreciation for the buildings that create the unforgettable Chicago skyline.
Great perspective in seeing the city!
We went on the architectural tour and it was wonderful, especially because our guide, Victor, was a wealth of information and he had a tremendous amount of enthusiasm as he spoke spitting out facts and information almost every single minute. I am a lifelong Chicagoan and had never taken this tour. I would highly recommend it and try to get in Victor's group if he is there!
Ben was funny, informative and friendly. The architecture tour is the best.
