Shipps is usually one of our favorites, but we had to wait an hour for our 6:00 reservation (maybe it's trendy to have to wait on a reservation...?), and now it's 8:15 and we are waiting on main course. It's tough to make the case to come back with a large party next time when they don't seem to manage/plan adequately. I can handle the fact that they are slammed during the holiday weekend, but service has been lackluster to the point of us serving ourselves water that we requested 10 minutes ago, and nobody here has made men... read more
Great food and service was great. However the kitchen can't accomodate the amount of guests being served. We waited over an hour on food which is absurd for an 8 top table. They should definitely expand the kitchen and staff it adequately to better accomodate the number of people coming through the door. Very poorly excuted on owner/management part. Great food but will not return due to this factor. Two and a half hours is a bit ridiculous for dinner.
We go here every time I come to Gulf Shores. This was without doubt the worst service I've had here. In an hour and a half the waitress came to our table maybe 3 times and the food took over an hour to show up. Out of the ordinary but still a let down.
My sons rehearsal dinner was catered by Shipp's Harbour Grill this past Friday at the gulf state park beach pavillion. The food was fantastic. Teresa and her team were the best. Thank you for making this a wonderful night.
My husband and I were married on Saturday the 30th and we had our reception dinner here . It turned out great ! Everyone was so nice and helpful . Our waiter was great and helpful with all of our questions and needs . I ordered the Island Mahi Mahi and it was delicious ! I was very happy with the reception and we will be back on our next visit !
One of the most delicious meals I've ever eaten in my entire life! Will definitely come back whenever I'm in town.
