We have been coming for more than four years and enjoyed the sashimi in particular.

I've been wandering in a desert of so-so sushi bars for years. I'm so glad I found this place. You will not find fresher fish anywhere. The price is actually very reasonable for such high quality fare.

This is, by far, the best Sushi place in the valley! Yoshi is such a great host - it feels like home when I'm there.
Sushi rice was dry and tasteless. My main dish came before sushi: only 3 pieces, but they took a long time, and when sushi came, it was below average. Two sushi chefs were doing their jobs but did not speak to me at all: not so friendly. Because of the name, Shimogamo, I thought I could enjoy a bit of Kyoto style cuisine but WRONG: this restaurant is just another uninspiring standard Japanese restaurant that catered to popular and standard dishes, nothing really special. 不味かったです。 本当に残念です。
We had five different types of Sushi and they we're all outstanding. Great service and customer service. Ask for Yoshi.
