Very slow service and the place needs a renovation. Food was just ok.
RecommendedIt was my go-to place back in the early 90's when I lived near the square (within walking distance). Got to know David (the owner) and the bartender very well at the time and was always guaranteed a free drink from the bartender and another from David if he was there. It was my "Cheers" back in those days. I always loved the extra cold draft beers and there wonderful Rubin w/ fries!!
Shillings was our Favorite Restaurant for the 8 years we lived in Marrietta. We now live east of Memphis, Tennessee. Love the food, atmosphere and sunsets at Shillings enough to make the trip back to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Love stepping back in time in the Square, it's the Complete Package. We're planning to be there in a couple of weeks. Best Compliment I could give.
Ghastly experience, flies in the restaurant, A/C not working. Food order wrong, had to wait ages for drinks. Sloppy service. I will NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN. Sorry this is NOT fine dining.

local, friendly small town feel
food was great. I had the crab and corn chowder and my friend had the calamari for starters. for our entrees I opted from the appetizer menu and my friend had the shrimp and scallops. The food came out in a timely manner and tasted great and the service was good as well.
