Can’t wait to leave! Don’t be fooled... it’s a cute community and the location is great for Columbia and Baltimore, but that’s it. The new management company is a disaster. I have had multiple leaks in my apartment from the ceiling and plumbing AND cockroaches every few weeks. The walls are thin so I constantly hear my neighbor snoring. The valet trash is nice, but inconsistent. My kitchen has updated backsplash, but the appliances are old, loud, and dirty. Lies, mad maintenance, and inconsiderate residents. The property is beautifully landscaped and the people in the office are very kind, but that’s about all the positive I have to say so far and I’ve only been here a few weeks. Parking is an absolute nightmare. People regularly park in the fire lanes which makes things very congested, and getting an assigned carport is near impossible - I had a spot “put on hold” for me when I signed my lease, but the leasing agent apparently didn’t do that, so now I have to wait a few extra ... read more
Limited parking space The living space is really nice, quiet neighbors, nice neighborhood in general. However, if you work a late job and want to find a parking space when you return, it won't happen. It often leads to you parking on a curb, which btw if you are still parked at past 10:00am you will be towed. So if you have a late job and are extremely tired and plan on sleeping in late it won't work. The parking is absolutely awful. Pest Control Problem There are wasps and roaches that have been causing me too much trouble. The price is ok and the apartment looks nice, but it is not worth it when you have to spend so much time dealing with the pest control problem. Honestly, it is not worth it.
Nice place but, Management doesn't manage Location, apartment & community are great. The staff is friendly and helpful. The management team, however, doesn't really manage anything outside of maintenance & upkeep. The parking lots SHOULD be more than large enough for the community (over 2 spots per apartment rentable carports), however, there never seems to be enough. There is no assigned parking. convenient location, inconvenient everything else This place is geographically convenient. That's it. There is never any convenient parking available. More than once we had to park at entrance and our apartment is at the bank of the community 0.7 miles. They shut down parts of the road and the water without notice and without work around.
Great rental property Lived there for 2.5 years and barely ever had any issues. The apartments are very nice and updated for the rent and the whole property had a family-and pet-friendly "neighborhood" feel. I never felt unsafe. Good amenities, including rent able garden plots and a nice pool. The gym was kinda small and had equipment sometimes out of service, but nothing that stopped me from working out. NO WATER FOR DAYS. NO PRIVACY. The worst place ever. THEY SHUT OFF WATER WITHOUT A NOTICE AT LEAST ONCE EVERY OTHER WEEK. This time, they are doing it for a third day in a row. I wake up in the morning/come home from work first worrying about "will I have my water today?". Try to call the office/maintenance emergency, all they say is "I didn't know", "we will contact maintenance supervisor" and I never hear anything back from them. Nice Complex in Elkridge Sherwood Crossings is located right along I 95 and Route 175; there are plenty of options in a close distance in regards to retail and grocery shopping as well as many dining choices. I travel often to both Baltimore and Washington, DC and with the complex being right next to I 95 I can get to either location in a good travel time.
