I highly recommend Dr. Kay Wisely. She has been so great in caring for both my dog and cat. She is knowledgeable and friendly in her approach to treatment.
GOOD CLINIC I've taken my dog and cat there for years. It's always a clean facility. The doctors in this practice are very thorough, kind and respectful. They're good with follow-up calls, too. And they're also good at recommending specialists when something is beyond their skill set. I have always received good care here, and am very particular about the well-being of my pets. There's not another practice I'd recommend more.
STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!! - should be less than one star What a god-awful place. From the ignorant, unprofessional, rude and uncaring front office staff to the doctors who care mostly about the fees they're generating, this place is one of the last vet practices I'd take a pet I love. Dr. Ullman is decent and Dr. Clipsham is great and went above and beyond for my girl who was very sick but they are mere employees and have little power to change anything there. Dr. Scanlan is one of the worst. When I was a new patient there an... read more
Sherman Oaks Veterinary Group is Nothing Without Dr Scanlon Dr Scanlon ONLY. The front office sucks, with a couple exceptions. Mostly rude, lazy, etc... However, 'part time' vet and holistic expert/accupunturist Dr. Nancy Scanlon is world class. If you have a 'senior' dog or cat -- her understanding of arthritis and age issues is incredible. She has cured dogs that others have wanted to put down. Scanlon is the best! I think she only works Weds- Fri..
Don't go here. I also wish there were zero stars to give. What happened to this place? No principles. They overcharge, are sneaky with hidden charges and unnecessary steps. They take advantage of people's good intentions. Cheats. I reported them to the BBB, my credit card, and now I'm trying to find a way to let you know. Don't go here.
These folks are worth every penny. I have 2 schipperkes, a mother and a son. The female started gaining weight and within a few months couldn't complete a walk. The vets here diagnosed and treated her correctly and she is now her normal weight and can run as fast as her son. I only wish they could do the same for me. But it did not stop there. The next year my dog started having headaches. I took her in. They found the pressure in her eye was high and arranged an immediate consult with an eye specialist. It turned out that m... read more
Not So Sure Now Most of the doctors are great. Dr Ullman. Wisely and Richter are all very good and helped me alot. I can't say the same about Dr McCray who rushes you along and does'nt listen to anything you have to say. Not a good vet IMHO. I wopuld only ask for the other vets to help you.
Sherman Oaks Veterinary Group-Dr. Clipsham ROCKS! My dog is a patient of Dr. Clipsham's - I have not seen other vets in the practice. Dr. Clipshim is caring, calm and is also the first vet who ever brought up preventative care - my golden takes fish oil daily based on his recommendations. My dog is 'men' skittish, but he takes his time and waits until she approaches him and is ready for the exam. She wouldn't willingly go with him to the lab for a blood draw, he suggested I lead her and allowed me to hold her while the blood... read more
They will over charge you as much as they can I ended up paying $820 for an antibiotic treatment but the first estimate I refused was between $1500 and $2000!My dog was sick and so weak he could barely walk so I took him to the Vet. After waiting for a while, they came back to me with X-Ray results and no clear diagnostic (pending blood test results). They offered an hospitalization for at least $1500 which I declined as I had no clear diagnosis yet and we couldn't spend that much money now. They released the dog for $820, I... read more
