THEY NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED DO NOT bring your animals here. My cat had cancer. There wasn't anything to be done, but they insisted he stay for tests, etc. They had him for a week and they insisted I not check on him. He appeared fine when I brought him in, but after getting fuzzy reasons why he should be there, I picked him up. After telling me that he was doing 'great' I was shocked at his health. He was so bad off I had to put him to sleep immediately. Why didn't they tell me? My aunt brought her dog there after being sic... read more

I wish it could be no stars Be careful going to this place. I have been there twice and both times they charged me for things they didnt do - scratch that - they overcharged me for things they didnt do. The physical exam consists of the vet touching my dogs sides. Didnt look in ears - didnt check temperature - didnt look at teeth - as far as I could see they did nothing at all. Last time I had my other dog there the expensive 'exam' consisted of the vet sniffing my dogs ear and telling me he might have an ear infection... I ... read more

not impressed This may not be the place for caring parents of pets. The waiting room is full of barking dogs jumping all over and the wait to get seen was nearly an hour. The doctor could have tried to at least to act a little more profesionol. before asking for a huge bill to see what was wrong with my dog. The hospital also smelled a little like urine, too.

Not Pleased Wish there were zero stars. Have been going there for years, but done with them. Overcharging and poor service and lack of concern.

GREEDY AND UNETHICAL Do NOT take your pet to Sherman Oaks Vet Group. I have been a customer for years, but unfortunately, I have watched their service and pet care decline over the last couple of years. Individual and personalized pet care used to be their first priority. Now,....it's pocketing your money. I am completely prepared to spend as much money as necessary for the care of my pet. (And they are one of the most expensive, if not the most expensive vets in the area.) I just spent $3000.00 on tests and care. I was full... read more

If you have a cat... If you have a cat than Dr. Clipsham is your man. After seeing another doctor at the same practice we brought our 4-month-old kitten to see Dr. Clipsham and boy could we tell the difference. You can tell he is a cat person and so could our kitten. He picked her up out of her cage and held her like a baby and she purred. And she usually hates strangers! He obviously loves animals and has our kitten's long-term health and happiness in mind. He took the time to talk to us and he gave us advice and let us ask... read more

Great Valley Vets The cool western ranch style of the Sherman Oaks Veterinary Group building is enough to make you and your dog want to check it out. But aside from getting to walk through rustic swinging doors, you'll have a great experience. The vets here have all been amazing. They are true animal lovers - not just punching the clock. The front desk has always been really helpful and courteous. If you're looking for a vet, you can't go wrong here.

TOO BUSY, TOO FRANTIC This office was recommended to me and for minor things they seemed competent, although I go at all times of the day and they are ALWAYS way too crowded and busy. It seems like they have a huge clientele, but it makes me nervous how little time and attention my dog gets from the vet. They missed my dog's thyroid problem, although I brought her in for skin problems and weight gain--which happen to be two signs of hypothyroid problems. The vets don't seem to listen unless you get assertive and kind of impo... read more
