This place is amazing!! Great bloody Maries and super friendly staff!
We always make it a point to eat here when visiting. It has never disappointed. Food always great. Staff is friendly. I've been eating here for years.
Had a delicious stuffed flounder with crab. Nice atmosphere wonderful service! Nice view of waterway. Would go back for sure.

The shrimp & Grits I absolutely love. The " damn good crab cakes " are just that. The staff has always been attentive to our needs. I guess it never hurts to have a handsome Citadel Cadet with us.
No reservation but quickly and easily seated. (Thurs evening 6.30ish). Service was quick and friendly. Flounder was very good, fish cakes also. Veggies could have benefitted from a little more steaming for my taste. Cocktails also good. This was our second visit. First was about five years ago and was dreadful but we were willing to try again and were well pleased.
My food came out 40-minutes before my son's food. The waitress kept apologizing but it ruined a nice meal with my son. The she crab soup tasted sour and the crab cakes where very thin with little roumaulde sauce. My son's salmon was under cooked and tasted awful. This is the 3rd time I have come Shem Creek but the 1st time my son has been there. Not sure I will return.
Well we heard so many great things and wanted to try it out. Well first off we had a couple drinks then ordered our food. I had the steak and cake and by boyfriend had the ribeye not only did they mix our sides up, but I was served cold mashed potatoes and our steaks had no flavor. By the time the server came back to check on things we had already finished our meal. Would have rather went to California dreaming. Never again.
