One of the best non touristy places. Always a good bloody Mary and blue plate specials. Good place for shrimp and grits w/o downtown prices.
It was a Great visit food was good and the oyster shooters were Awesome!!

We had lunch and sat at the back bar with Tim as our bartender and waiter, great at what he does, very entertaining. I ordered shrimp, flounder and oysters with red rice and slaw--fantastic! Flounder was my favorite. I'm lucky, I live here, can't wait to get back.
Had a terrific view of the creek...and the shrimp and she-crab soup was incredible!
We both had the mushroom & swiss burger. It was cooked perfectly, nice and juicy!!! Even the french fries were perfect.......Drew was our server and he was fast and efficient.
We always have great meals when we eat and drink at the SCBG. Service is always good.
I have been going here since I was a small child and have always enjoyed the view the people and the food it's definitely what Lowcountry restaurant should be like it's not really that fancy but it is always really good and you on the creek definitely might go to for oysters east of the Cooper if I'm dining out
