I understand that first point of contact is the salesman but when it comes down to brass tacks the sales manager does not need to act like the wizard of oz and hide somewhere making the salesman run back and forth a dozen times. Time is the most valuable commodity anyone has and is not to be wasted. Not to mention things are lost in the translation.
