I lived at Hampton House for 3 years and had a wonderful experience. The building is historic, charming and well maintained. I never had or heard of any issues with pests, which was a dealbreaker for me. Lewis and his team do an amazing job of responding to issues and are very willing to work with/around your life circumstances. You really will not find a better combination of quality management, fair pricing and convenient location (steps away from Woodley Park metro).
I can't recommend this community enough! Living here the past 3 years has been such wonderful experience and I'm so grateful for the time spent here. The team truly goes above and beyond to make residents feel welcomed and cared for, they really make you feel like family. I've now lived in three different apartments across two different buildings within this community, and I've genuinely enjoyed every aspect of living here. One thing that's rare and really stands out: when an issue comes up, you can speak directly to the owner of the building — not a business manager who doesn't really care about your day-to-day experience. I lived here for four years, and it was the best housing experience I could have asked for. Lewis and his team are incredibly kind, reliable, and efficient. They are communicative, responsive, and always quick to address questions or maintenance needs. Hampton House is such a charming apartment building that it immediately felt like home. I cannot recommend Shapiro & Company enough! It’s truly a hidden gem in DC, and the Woodley Park community is so welcoming. I will definitely miss living here!
Don’t think any other apartment building in DC can compare to Hampton House… like all other reviewers, I’ve had nothing but positive experiences from Lew, Tony, and the maintenance team here. Responsive, honest, kind. The few maintenance requests I made were answered and tended to the next day. Everyone here truly loves living here and it makes the community feel so much more like home.
