I've always been a fan of Shannon, but after this past week, I can truly say I am in awe of the medical service we have available. I love my doctor (Dr. Wiggins-Smith), but even when she was out of town, we received exceptional care and advice in a very unexpected and dangerous situation from the on-call doctor (Dr. Wilson) and the entire Labor & Delivery and Postpartum staff. We truly felt like we were their top priority, and are forever grateful. Thank you for the care, and sending us home with our little bundle of joy!

I must say I'm extremely disappointed in the customer service I received this morning from the ENT portion of Shannon. I am a retired Navy vet and I recently filed a claim with the VA on an unrelated issue. Once there, they noticed I had a pre-existing condition that was diagnosed by a Shannon physician in 2004. They noted that I could claim that condition (something I was previously unaware of), and provided me a form to have the doctor sign to confirm they had made that diagnosis back in 2004. Everyone is nice but no one knows what is going on and if they do they want tell me!
I was very disappointed yesterday when I had to take my daughter to the Shannon ER......I called an ambulance because she was in very much pain and I knew that we would get a room right away! Well that didn't happen, as they said the beds were all full and they put us out in the lobby! There were about 20 people sitting in the lobby waiting and there was no way she could sit and wait that long! The Triage Nurse, didn't get her name but I will, was really rude! This was a long wait to finally get some relief for her!
