Nice quiet place to have a drink. The food smelled delicious but we had already eaten. The bartender was friendly as was the crowd. This was the second time we were there in the past few years.
Music festival always a great time . The clam chowder was awesome. The rum punch even better �
I think the Shagwong as a music spot has an intense, high energy vibe that is very unique. DJ Dodge is intuitive and on the money. The crowd moves like a single organism. Bodies dancing with no holds barred! Mixed crowd of party people with a variety of music that is nonstop fun. If you like the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, you will feel the Shagwong as well. It will not disappoint. There is something about original venues with history that cannot be duplicated. As for me? I dig 'em!!!!
Excellent place, people, food and mix.... I think ll is coming together for this wonderful revival....the new with the old...and back around! keep it up and MUSIKA!
This is not the Shagwong that used to be. We knew it had changed hands and looked forward to see the change. But disappointed. Pricey and food not so great. We asked about specials of the day but told there weren't any. Ordered medium burger but it was rare. I ate it because I actually like it rare but afraid if I ordered rare it would be mooing! Friend ordered fish and chips and got mostly a plate of french fries with one piece of fish. Certainly not we expected for the asking price. Not going back.
We've been coming here for years. Went for drinks and some dancing. The bartenders could have been alittle more attentive, we waited for drinks even though it wasn't that busy. The dj was good and the people were a lot of fun. Always a friendly crowd.
Awesome place great food the new owners have made it beautiful !!!!
No frills just good food. Reasonably priced and great service. Cold beer.
