Glad to see Shag succeeding! Great food, great crowd.
Went the other nite with my wife and she had the steamed 1-1/4 lb.lobster, came with a piece of corn and was $40. I ordered day boat scallops $30. They were so puny and tasteless. Appetizer was baked rubber clams $16. We had one drink each and the bill was as high as a fine restaurant would have been. Waaaay too overpriced for a tavern and the food was just tolerable. Won’t be going back
Love the remodle! A great place in the summer for a cold pint, but even better in the off season, for chowder and a burger.
The atmosphere, the service, the food....A+! First time in Montauk and we loved it. Cold, but loved it. So, so, so happy we chose to have dinner our last night at Shagwong. I had to start with the clam chowder. It was toooooo die for! Entree, I had the PEI scallops over mushroom aspergrass risotto. Spectacular! If ever in Montauk you have to go to Shagwong!
