Food was fabulous! Had the fried pickles and we took most home because there was so much. Try the BELT…😋#good food

Our favorite place. Food, drinks, and service excellent as always. Last night I had the Island Bowl with shrimp which was awesome, and my daughter had the crabcakes..best ever!! We love this place!! 5 Stars doubled!!!!
Shagger Jack's has a great menu and the food is cooked to perfection. It also comes out quickly, even when it's busy! We visited twice in a couple of days, once for dinner, and once for lunch, and were extremely pleased both times. The second time, we had to wait for a bit, but we did not mind! This was our second time being here and as with the first time the food and atmosphere was spot on! I definitely recommend this place for sure!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. My party arrived at 5:45, there was a 2 hour wait. We said no problem, gave the hostess our phone number and went to walk around as suggested. We never received a phone call or message about our table being ready. Ordered takeout the next night, from Uber Eats and then another app the website made us download. We spent $50 each order, both we cancelled but they charged our credit card. After 4 hours, we had no food, 2 cancelled orders and one posed off boyfriend. If you go to Oak Island you have to eat at Shagger Jacks. Blake is the owner and he is there helping daily. He has an awesome restaurant. The food is great. You have to order the ribs. They were so tender and flavorful, and the sauce was the best. Then came dessert time. the chocolate cake was very good, as was the Hummingbird cake and the Key Lime pie. From the appetizer to the entrees, the food was excellent. We highly recommend the fried pickle chips and the Cajun burger was outstanding. Service with a smile.
